Graylyn Estate is the perfect summer destination, whether you choose to relax by the pool or join your friends for a game of tennis. We welcome all employees of Wake Forest University or Wake Forest University Health Sciences to become a Member and spend your summer with us. Apply today and enjoy a retreat without the drive!
Group swimming lessons are offered for the beginner swimmers at the start of summer season. These are complimentary to members and first come, first serve. Private lessons are available throughout the summer for a fee.
Tennis court time does not require a reservation. We want you to enjoy the game, though we ask that you are courteous and limit play to 1 hour when others are waiting. Appropriate tennis attire is appreciated, including shirt and shoes. Rackets and balls are supplied by the member.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

To be considered for membership, please complete and return the application and membership fees by the due date. Please refer to the application for applicable membership fees. All applications for memberships are annual and fees are non-refundable.
We welcome guests with members, the guest fees are $3 per person, maximum 4 guests per visit by any member.

Graylyn Conference Center may close daily swim due to private parties during peak conference season. Members will be notified by email regarding closings. To reserve the pool for a private function, please contact Graylyn Special Events (limited availability).
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Application Process: All Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University Health Sciences pool members from the 2011 summer season will be given “Priority Memberships” for summer 2012. The deadline to secure your membership is March 20, 2012. After March 20, membership applications will be accepted from Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University Health Sciences employees through April 16, 2012. If enough spaces are available, all applications will be accepted. If there are more applications received than space allows, memberships will be selected via a lottery.
Membership Fees: A certain level of membership fee revenue needs to be reached in order to keep the pool operating. Fees have been instituted for retirees/widow(er)s due to the operating expenses required to maintain the pools upkeep. Only family memberships will be offered for the 2012 pool season. When membership capacity is not reached Graylyn management will explore offering single memberships and/or pro-rated memberships. Memberships offered as a “General Public Member” are also limited and offered only when the need to fill membership capacity is necessary. General Public Members are offered at an increased membership rate.
Eligibility: Faculty, staff and retirees from Wake Forest University Reynolda Campus and Wake Forest University Health Sciences are eligible for membership. Medical residents are employed by North Carolina Baptist Hospital and do not meet eligibility requirements for membership. Adult children are not eligible for membership unless employed by Wake Forest University or Wake Forest University Health Sciences.
Guest Policy: Members may bring up to 4 guests to the pool at each visit. Adult children are welcome at the pool when accompanied by a member as a guest. Guest fees are $3/per guest. No guests will be admitted into the pool area without the presence of a member.
