Innovation & Collaboration

  • Snacks with TAPS. The Transportation and Parking team hosted a new event, “Snacks with TAPS”. This event provided a unique opportunity for members of the campus community to drop by, enjoy a tasty snack, and engage in casual conversations with the TAPS team. This event wasn’t just about addressing any transportation and parking questions, it was about a chance to foster connections and get to know the individuals behind the scenes.
  • Billy D’s at Zick’s Grand Opening. Renowned as the world’s most sustainable chef, William Dissen, widely known as Chef Billy D, made a guest appearance on February 9, 2023, for the grand opening of Billy D’s at Zick’s. To mark this special occasion, Chef Dissen treated attendees to a tasting experience featuring his acclaimed dishes such as the Billy D’s chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and more. We are excited to offer these sustainable options as a thoughtful food choice for the entire campus community.
  • University Stores Safety Training. University Stores worked with University Police to provide safety training for all our Bookstore and Deacon Shop Employees. Emergency Services Manager, Chauncey Bowers, provided his insight and expertise on protective actions our team should take in the event of an emergency including what to do in the event of an active shooter, severe weather, shoplifting, evacuations, and a fire emergency.
