Inclement Weather Adjusted Hours of Service beginning 1/23/2026

Deacon Dining

  • Dining hours may be subject to change due to the impending winter storm. Keep up-to-date by checking dining.wfu.edu or dining’s social media. The Pit will remain open.
    • Saturday, January 24 | La Sabrosa will close at 5:00 p.m. | Village Juice and Peet’s Coffee will close at 4:00 p.m. | Subway and Zick’s will close at 10:00 p.m.
    • Sunday, January 25 | The Pit is the only dining location open and will remain open until 8:00 p.m.
    • Monday, January 26 | The Pit will open from  9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Davis POD will be open from 10:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, January 27
      • The Pit will open from  9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

      • Bento: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

      • 336 Market: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

      • Shorty’s: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

      • Einstein’s: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

      • Smith’s: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

      • Zick’s: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

      • Subway: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Transportation and Parking

Please note the following shuttle route schedule changes for Saturday, January 24 – Sunday, January 25, 2026

  • Saturday, January 24 | Wake Downtown and Hanes Mall shuttle service will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a lunch break from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Student on-call shuttle for Saturday night is paused.
  • Sunday, January 25 – Wednesday, January 28 |  All shuttle services are paused. Including Wake Downtown, Hanes Mall/Target/Sherwood, Student on-call, and First-Year Line.

Student Parking

A potential weekend winter storm is forecasted over the weekend. To prepare for snow / ice removal operations, please follow these parking guidelines:

  • Do not park on Gulley Dr. and Jasper Memory Lane so that snow removal equipment can keep these roads plowed. Leaving your vehicle parked may result in it being blocked by snow piles.

First-Year and Sophomore Students

  •  Students are encouraged to keep their vehicles parked off-campus and remain parked in Lots Z2, Z3 and Z5 over the weekend. Fewer vehicles on campus will assist Facilities with clearing snow from the on-campus parking lots.

Residential Students

  • Do not park in Faculty/Staff parking lots over the weekend so that Facilities can clear snow from these parking lots. Please remain parked in Lots J, Q, R1, R2 and Z.

Mail Services

  • All services are paused on Monday, January 26, through Wednesday, January 28.
  • Thursday, January 29, 2026 | All services are paused | P.O. Boxes and parcel lockers will be accessible during the operating hours of Benson University Center.

University Stores

  • All services are paused on Monday, January 26, through Wednesday, January 28
  • Thursday, January 29 | University Stores will open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
