This month’s employee spotlight is our Catering Supervisor, Dannie Galloway. She’s been with Wake for 28 years and to celebrate all of Dannie’s achievements, we asked her a few questions about her time at Wake in Catering.

Tell us more about your role and background.

I’m a supervisor in catering. I oversee, set up, serve and help out in any way I can.

What made you apply for a position in catering at Wake?

I never applied, but helped out at an event and have been working in catering ever since!

What’s a highlight from your years of service?

Catering for the presidential debate events in 2000.

What is your favorite part about your job? What excites you most?

Getting to meet different people and being able to please the client and their guests on campus.

What do you see as your biggest accomplishment during your years of service?

Being able to learn catering and do it as well as I can. (Being good at what I do!)

What is your favorite hobby or activity to do outside of work?

Cooking and learning to sew with my granddaughters.
