The Graylyn Estate Honored for Landscape Preservation and Land Conservation

The Graylyn Estate receives the Flora Ann Bynum Award from the Community Appearance Commission of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County for its commitment to land conservation, landscape preservation, and tree conservation. Graylyn’s award acknowledges its commitment to preserving the historic Bowman and Nathalie Gray estate, highlighting sustainable practices such as a dual-tree replacement initiative and pollinator conservation efforts.
“Our dedicated landscaping team nurtures Graylyn’s stunning 55-acre estate with creativity and exceptional stewardship,” said Vice President of Hospitality & Auxiliary Services, John Wise. “We are deeply committed to ensuring Graylyn remains a haven for pollinators, a source of natural beauty for Winston-Salem, and it remains preserved for future generations.”
This award is Graylyn’s second honor in Historic Preservation Month. Graylyn was recently named a Top 25 Hotel for Best of Adaptive Reuse by Historic Hotels of America.
