Global Foods Tabling Station Celebrates Diwali
WFU Global Food Committee (GFC)* and the Food Collaboration Committee (FCC) are excited to share that the global food tabling station will be celebrating Diwali. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a major Hindu festival celebrated with the lighting of lamps and the exchange of sweets, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
Join us Wednesday, November 8th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Pit for the Diwali tabling session. WFU Hindu Students Association (HSA) is sponsoring/hosting. Vegetable samosas, onion pakora, chole, and basmati rice will be served.
If you would like to volunteer to serve the food or help explain Diwali to those who come to the GFTS table, please reach out to Meer Doran, doramp21@wfu.edu or Aashna Kumar, Kimaas21@wfu.edu
See you at the table!
*The GFC is a collaborative effort across WFU. The committees are comprised of students, faculty, and staff throughout the Office of the Chaplain, the (FCC), Deacon Dining, Hospitality & Auxiliary Services, and twenty other offices/departments/student groups across campus.
